Hello to all of my visitors! My name is Brittany Joyce Royes. (hence the j.r. but don’t call me that) I am a 21 year old junior at the University of Pittsburgh. I am a Sociology major on the pre-medical track with minor is Chinese and Chemistry and certificates in Asian Studies and Conceptual Foundations of Medicine. I’ve created this blog for several reasons. Primarily to keep others up to date on where I am and what I’ll be doing! The time difference between home and Taiwan is 13 hrs so when facetime/skype isn’t an option, I want this to be the next best thing. Secondly I want to be able to post my experiences so that not only I can look back on them, but hopefully any students interested in Study Abroad (especially any BRIDGES mentees, s/o to y’all) can look at my posts and aid them in their decision to go abroad or not. Finally, I want to have a platform where I can explain my culminated experience and learned lessons, This is my first blog and I’m a STEM kid so definitely not a 10/10 writer (I got a 3 on my AP lang exam) but I am goofy and I just write what I’m thinking so I hope you enjoy and I’d love any feedback!
